Objectives

The objectives of the organisation are to organise the International Youth Congress once a year for anyone between 16 and 30 years old, for youth workers and youth pastors. The congress has to provide a varied program for Mennonites as well as non-Mennonites. Learning and personal growth are keywords during the congress. The organisation aims at education of participating organising youth, stimulating independent thinking and handling.
The base of the congress is found in the Mennonite tradition.

Foundation

After its 12th edition the International Youth Congress became an independent organisation in December 1997.
