What is the Congress?

The International Youth Congress is held every year during the last weekend of October. The location is the Mennonite Church in Groningen. Anyone in the age of 16 to 30 years old, youth workers and youth pastors are all welcome to join us at the congress.

How much does it cost?

Participation of the congress is 60 euro. There is also the possibility to sign up for parts of the program. If the costs for the program are a problem for you, please contact a Mennonite Community in your neighbourhood. They might be able to pay (part of) the entrance fee for you.

Where can I stay overnight?

If you need a sleeping-place, we advise you to register as soon as soon as possible. The available sleeping-places are limited and we follow the rule: first come, first served. If there are no more sleeping-places available or if you want to be sure that you have a sleeping-place in the city centre, then you can book a room in the Simplon Youth Hostel, which is a 5 minute walk from the church and the city centre. If you choose to sleep in the youth hostel, we will contribute €7,50 per night. Please pay the bill first and then take it to the Administration where you will receive your money.

How can I find my home stay address?

Please come to the Administration department of the congress at the church when you arrive. There we provide the details of your home stay.

What is a ‘zuiplap’?

A ‘zuiplap is a coupon you can use to buy drinks during the congress, at dinner and at the party on Saturday. This way you don’t need to worry about cash. You can buy a ‘zuiplap’ at the congress administration or the congresscafé.
